Violinist Katya Moeller and pianist Ksenia Nosikova will explore a vast sound world united through one nation, ranging from a vibrant suite of the early Baroque composer Élisabeth Jacquet De la Guerre, Poulenc’s elegant and charming Violin Sonata, Oliver Messiaen’s Theme and Variations, Lili Boulanger’s Four Pieces for Violin and Piano, and concluding with Beethoven’s Violin Sonata in G major, Op. 96, dedicated to French violinist, Pierre Rodé.

Katya Moeller
Violinist Katya Moeller, 21, is an accomplished award-winning performing artist. She has performed at Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall, Bargemusic, and alongside New York Philharmonic members in David Geffen Hall in Lincoln Center in New York City. She was called a “phenomenal instrumentalist” and praised for her “fresh, committed playing, always powerful and concentrated”, “dramatic and convincing performances”, and “exquisite interpretations” by Fanfare Magazine. Katya played her first solo recital at the age of six and made her orchestra debut when she was twelve. As a member of the vibrant Avita Duo, she has performed in Italy, Hungary, Romania, Austria, Switzerland, Brazil, Southeast Asia, as well as across the United States. Praised for their “technical excellence, emotional intensity, and unity of purpose”, the Duo produced their first recording of Lera Auerbach’s 24 Preludes for Violin and Piano and world-premiere of Oskolki in 2021.
